REX PUTNAM HIGH SCHOOL

Rex Putnam High School is seeking Boys Varsity Lacrosse Coach: Rex Putnam High school is seeking a qualified Boys Varsity lacrosse coach for the 2011 season. Rex Putnam is a growing program that is 8 years old. It currently has a Varsity and JV team. Previous coaching experience preferred. A demonstrated commitment to sportsmanship and player development is required. The qualified individuals will have: Leadership and motivational skills, strong knowledge, ASEP certified and passion for the game, ability to lead this group to compete at a high level. Competitive compensation to the right individual. The season runs from February to May. Coaches should be available for practice 5 nights a week starting late February. Games will start shortly after and will also be during the weekdays.

SOUTH SALEM HIGH SCHOOL

South Salem High School has numerous Coaching openings.  Our Boys program is going into it's 12th year and would like to grow and improve and be as competitive as possible.  Playing and coaching experience is required.  Sportsmanship, fostering of teamwork and the ability to motivate the players to compete at a high level is important to us.  Background checks and certifications are needed.  Tryouts are in late February followed by Practices and games making this a 5 day a week commitment through late May or early June.  Practices typically are 7-9PM at South Salem High School on a very nice Turf Field.

OREGON CITY HIGH SCHOOL

Boys Head Coach (Varsity)

Position Description: Oregon City High School boys' lacrosse club is seeking several varsity and JV level coaches, including a head varsity coach. Coaching experience is preferred. OCHS is an up-and-coming program in the Portland area with 50-70 athletes (grades 9-12) competing annually. If you have a competitive commitment to excellence and a positive attitude, our program will benefit from, and appreciate, your leadership.

CLACKAMAS HIGH SCHOOL

Boys Head Coach (J.V.) and Boys Assistant Varsity Coach.

Position Description: Clackamas High School has an opening for a junior varsity head coach and an assistant varsity coach starting Spring 2012. Previous college experience and coaching experience preferred. Responsibilities include practice planning and aiding the head coach with other responsibilities pertaining to the team.

These are coaching only positions.  The regular season runs February thru May with practices in the evening Monday through Friday.  Coaches will need to be available in the fall for team activities. Appointment: Part-time, 5 months.  Salary:  Very competitive.

ALOHA HIGH SCHOOL

Aloha Lacrosse Club has as current openings for Boys JV Lacrosse Head Coach and assistant coaches for both varsity and jv levels for the 2012 season.  Our program is looking for experienced coaches with the skills and motivation to help take us to the next level. Interested candidates will have playing or coaching experience at the college or high school level.  We are on our 3rd consecutive year of growth and coming off of our most successful season in club history. 

The season begins practice on February 27th with games running through mid-May with the playoffs through May.  Coaches will have the obligation and responsibilities to attend all practices and games. The JV head coach and other assistants will work with the head coach for practice implementation and game strategy. CANBY HIGH SCHOOL

Canby High School is looking for a Head JV/Varsity Assistant Coach. Canby Lacrosse is entering its 6th season and each season has seen growth in numbers and competitiveness. We reached the state playoffs last year and are looking forward to continuing our growth. We are looking for a coach who has playing and/or coaching experience, especially at the offensive end of the field. For the qualified candidate, this is a paid position.

WILSONVILLE HIGH SCHOOL

Wilsonville High School is seeking candidates for multiple coaching openings at the high school level.  The Wildcats are defending conference champions and elite eight competitors at the state-wide level, seeking to continue further in to the playoffs this year.  Openings include:

JV Head Coach, JV2 Head Coach/JV Assistant, JV Assistant Coach, Face-Off Specialist and Goalie Coach.  

The face-off specialist and goalie coach will also be expected to work with our youth program.  High level playing experience is required.  Coaching experience is preferred.  Sportsmanship, positive attitude and demeanor, and an engaging coaching style are a must.  Pay is dependant upon experience at these positions.  JV and JV2 staff will receive instructions from Varsity coaches regarding practice plans and offensive and defensive practices and theory.   Practices will run in the early evening on the stadium turf field.  For further information and to apply, contact Varsity Head Coach Dave Sanford at dave@wilsonvillelacrosse.com.


SPRAGUE HIGH SCHOOL

Sprague Lacrosse, located in Salem, Oregon is looking for a Head JV/Varsity Assistant Coach with the idea of transitioning into the head coach for 2013. We our entering our 11th season and are part of the Oregon High School Lacrosse Association.

The right coach will want to help continue the growth of High School and youth lacrosse in the Salem area and previous coaching experience is required. Responsibilities include practice planning and aiding the head coach with other responsibilities pertaining to the team. Background checks and certifications for coaching in the OHSLA are required.

The regular season runs February thru May with practices in the evening Monday through Friday, usually 6:00 - 8:00 pm on a very nice turf field.  Coach will need to be available in the fall for team activities as well. The position is paid and salary depends on experience.

SUNSET HIGH SCHOOL

JV Boys’ Assistant Coach

The Sunset High School Lacrosse Club is seeking a qualified assistant coach for the 2012 men’s JV lacrosse program.

Sunset Lacrosse was established in 2003 and boasts one of the largest men’s high school programs in the state. A member of the Oregon High School Lacrosse Association, Sunset High School Boys Varsity won the Metro League Lacrosse Championship title for three of the past four seasons. During the 2010 and 2011 seasons the boys varsity team made it to the State Championship game and was the state runner up both years. Managed by a board of volunteers, Sunset Lacrosse enjoys exceptional support from parents, school administration and the community. Small squad sizes and low player/coach ratios maximize player potential, while a strong belief in aggressive game scheduling keeps players challenged.

TUALATIN HIGH SCHOOL

JV Assistant Coach Wanted

SUMMARY:  The Tualatin Lacrosse Club is a program supporting the development of players of all levels from third grade through high school. Tualatin High School is a 6A school with a strong athletic tradition that has resulted in league championships in every OSAA-sanctioned sport, including 6 State and a national championship. This year our lacrosse program will be in the fifth year of our Varsity program and sixth year at the JV level. The Boys Varsity Program was North Valley Conference Champions in 2010. Three of our players made North Valley All Conference First Team and three of our players made  North Valley All Conference Second Team. We anticipate continued success as we strengthen our coaching team. We enjoy outstanding support from the Tualatin High School administration and athletic office. We have a solid financial base, enthusiastic parents, as well as a supportive board of directors and over 45 experienced players.

Lacrosse is a spring sport, with practices beginning mid-February. Games run mid-March through late-May; the season may extend into June if the team makes state playoffs. Practices take place at Tualatin High School, Monday through Friday after school.

The Varsity head coach will oversee our program while encouraging and supporting responsible interaction from the entire coaching staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:           

  • 1 to 5 years of previous coaching experience with a commitment to sportsmanship and player development.
  • Demonstrated leadership and motivational skills.
  • Strong knowledge and passion for the game.
  • PCA membership by the start of the season. www.positivecoach.org
  • US Lacrosse membership and Level I training by the start of the season.  www.uslacrosse.org
  • Collegiate level playing experience is desired.

EXPECTATIONS:

  • Coaches should be available for practices five nights per week starting in late February with games during the week.
  • Participate in the development of season goals and weekly practice plans.
  • Communicate with players regarding player development and motivation.
  • Participate in off-season player clinics, usually two clinics are held in the summer.
  • Communicate with youth coaches to encourage younger player development and promote player growth into high school competition.

SALARY: These are salaried positions and pay will be commensurate with experience.

BEAVERTON HIGH SCHOOL

Beaverton High School Boys Lacrosse Club is seeking a JV Assistant coach.  College playing experience and previous coaching experience preferred.  Defensive specialty would be a bonus.  A demonstrated commitment to sportsmanship and player development is required. The qualified individuals will have leadership and motivational skills and a passion for the game.  The season begins February 27 and runs through May.  Playoffs in early June. Practice and games are Monday through Friday evenings 6:30-8:30pm on the Beaverton High School turf field in Beaverton, Oregon.  Compensation is competitive.
